Samantha (“Sam”) is a woman anxious to do her best and be her best. Since joining the company in 2004, she has served as a scholar, a leader, and role model within our firm and a true partner to our clients and candidates. Sam is also a founding member of Tandym Group's Women’s Network, an internal organization that seeks to foster support between female employees and partners with related nonprofit organizations throughout the year.
Before coming on board at Tandym, Sam earned her CPA and acquired almost 10 years of industry experience. She started her career at a Big 4 CPA firm, followed by time at two major investment banks where she gained tremendous and diverse exposure to people and issues within the accounting and finance industry. Sam’s experience has given her an insider’s view that she now uses to help her formulate a strategic approach to recruiting. But beyond strategy alone, she makes sure the recruitment process is personal: “Every individual is different, and I make a point to truly listen to – not just hear –what each of my clients and candidates says so that I can respond appropriately to their needs.”
Sam earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Syracuse University, graduating with a 4.0 grade point average. She currently resides in Manhattan, where she enjoys playing tennis and is passionate about her yoga practice.
